Mr. Pinarayi Vijayan, chief minister of Kerala has said newly launched Craze Biscuits is bringing new energy to the state’s industrial sector. He was inaugurating Craze Biscuits factory at KSIDC industrial park at Kinaloor, Kozhikode. It is obviously a happy news that Craze Biscuits, being the largest food and confectionery factory with more than one lakh square feet in size from Kerala is manufacturing biscuit variants that meet international standard, chief minister says. Craze Biscuits is a testimony to state government’s investment friendly policy and latest changes happened in the state, he has added.
Craze Biscuits is a yesteryear star biscuit brand from Kerala. It was a favorite brand among biscuit lovers. The same biscuit brand is coming back to the market after a long while. It is indeed a happy news. It is highly appreciable that Craze Biscuit is eyeing pan Indian and Global market as a made in Kerala brand, chief minister has added. Despite offering all the required facilities and policies, Kerala had become a hub for imported products. Due to the heavy competition contributed by the imported brands, many Kerala brands have vanished.
When we check industrial friendly parameters at a glance, we can easily find that Kerala stands top in all of them. Healthy people, better wages, human resources backed by higher education, abundant rivers and water bodies- Kerala stands top in the list in all these parameters. But we face scarcity of land, he says.
State government implements all the development projects including basic infrastructure with a holistic approach and precise vision. The state government promotes initiatives in the industrial sector as well as small and medium scale industries. All the initiatives, being implemented in the state foresee the future of our state. We are ranked 15th in the list of industrial-friendly states of the country. We are taking steps to improve the position in the list. Presently, Kerala has the unique and best environment for startups, the chief minister has claimed.
While presiding over the function, Mr. P Rajeeve, minister for industry and law has said biscuit market is a globally fast growing industry. Kerala has passed a law granting permission to industries to function without consent for the next three years if they have already invested Rs. 50 crores, he says. Kerala has passed another law assuring consents from all the departments within one week for new initiatives. Kerala has passed many such unique laws that no other state can claim. During the last eight-month, 1,06,380 new initiatives have registered, Mr. Rajeeve has informed.
While inaugurating new variants to the market, Mr. Mohammed Riyas, minister for PWD and Tourism has said it is great privilege and honor for us to launch a global brand from Kerala.
Mr. AK Saseendran, forest and wildlife protection inaugurated Azcco Global Trust and Mr. Ahamed Devarkovil, minister for Ports, Museums, Archaeology and Archive inaugurated overseas distribution at the event. Zameen Abul Azeez, Amina Zilla and Mr. Prasanth Mohan, DFO also attended the event.
The Craze biscuit factory is the first Indian endeavor of the international Azcco Group, with businesses in GCC, Africa and South-East Asia. Craze features state of the art technology and its recipes are prepared by world renowned food technologists. Craze is now in the market with around 22 different flavors and will be launching a variant every month.
Caramel Fingers, Cardamom Fresh, Coffee Marie, Thin Arrowroot, Cashew Cookies, Bullex Cookies, Coffee Marie, Tea Biscuit / Petit Burre and Bourbon Cream Biscuits are among the variants available in the market.
